Get to know me better

I’m Natalie, a Creative Director and hands-on brand designer. I’m drawn to subjects that are complex and undefined: humanising a refugee crisis, making online security more approachable, using a 150-year-old piano to make technology feel less intimidating, or helping VR move from a niche technology into everyday life. I build brand work that helps people understand, connect with and care about these ideas.

With over 20 years’ experience across agency and in-house roles in London and Amsterdam, I’ve worked across brand strategy, identity, UX, art direction, motion and experiential design for organisations including Dyson, Nike and UNHCR.

I joined Meta in 2019, first as Brand Design Lead for Workplace. I now lead Global Brand Design for Reality Labs’ VR portfolio. I’ve helped lead two hardware launches, shaped Horizon’s evolving identity, and work across Reality Labs, Creative X, Marketing and Product to build coherent brands across hardware, software, content and campaigns.

Brand strategy is the beating heart of the work I do. It gives design, campaigns and every other expression a shared purpose and direction. Without it, there’s nothing solid to build from.

AI is core part of how I work. I use it to review work, question assumptions, bring research and data into the process, and test ideas against strategy. It helps me learn faster, strengthen my point of view, make better-informed decisions, and build simple tools that reduce repetitive or fragmented work.

The aim is not to remove the human side of design. It’s to make more room for craft, judgement, curiosity and thoughtful critique. The tools will keep changing. Knowing why something works still needs a human eye.

I care about design that matters and helping teams do their best work. What I’m looking for next: a place where both brand and design are integral to how a business thinks, makes decisions and shows up in the world.
