Senior Art Director

Marks & Spencer

I joined the M&S team in September 2014 as a Senior Art Director. After helping the team complete the M&S 'Social Collection', I promptly started on their digital Christmas campaign, working across two project streams (and overseeing a third), with very tight time scales. The first was 'Pass the Parcel'. A responsive, stand alone platform inviting fans to play and pass using Facebook. I saw the project through from start to finish - art direction, branding and production to build and go live. The campaign got nearly 4 million unwraps and 3.2 million  passes over a period of six days.

Gift finder

The second project stream was the M&S gift finder.  A responsive campaign housed on the M&S website. A simply mechanic whereby Magic and Sparkle (the M&S fairies) were on hand to help users  find their loved ones the perfect Christmas gift.  Two easy steps led them through to a bespoke recommendation product page.  Again, I set the art direction, branded each of the characters on the 'nice list'  and oversaw production and build, over a very short period of time. 288, 000 visitors used the tool over the duration of the campaign, generating over £135,000 revenue.  Units per transaction were 66% higher than the site average which helped to deliver a 12% (£7.40) increase in average order value.
